PRACTICE FIELDS ARE OPEN TODAY (TUESDAY) USE EXTREME CAUTION.
The
forecast is for very hot temperatures tonight, but a few degrees cooler
than yesterday (The OSHA Heat Index predicts 101 degrees at 5:00 p.m.
and 98 degrees at 6:00 p.m.)
Therefore, the practice fields will be open. and it is your COACH'S decision whether or not to hold a practice.
If practices are held, Coaches MUST do the following:
1. KEEP YOUR PLAYERS AND YOURSELF HYDRATED
Caution your parents to keep themselves and their children hydrated
2. TAKE A WATER BREAK EVERY 10 MINUTES (or less) (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Make sure all your players drink several cups of water during the break
3. STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOUR PARENTS BRING THE FOLLOWING: sun shades, ice packs, iced towels, and extra water to the park with them.
4. FOR TEMPERATURES OVER 93 DEGREES WITH 50% HUMIDITY, OR OVER 100 DEGREES: LIMIT/ ELIMINATE RUNNING OR HEAVY CARDIO
